Developing a spectrum strategy to ensure Europe maximises the potential of 5G

Tim Miller presented at the 11th European Spectrum Management Conference in Brussels on 23 June on how the evolution of 5G technologies and services are leading to the need for a change in the way spectrum management is considered.  He explained the service-led definitions of 5G, before focussing on the spectrum allocation decisions that have been made – and need to be made in the future.  Following Tim’s introductory speech, he moderated a panel discussion which aims to tackle the issues of spectrum supply for 5G, and identifies which bands are important.
