On 17 October, Tim Miller took part in the International Digital Economy Conference in Sawarak, moderating a panel entitled “The impact of AI across industries”.  The panel included speakers from Amazon AWS and Borneo Digital, as well as talent search and training providers, providing a wide view of how AI was being used across industries in Borneo, Malaysia, and worldwide.

Tim asked the panellists how AI had affected not just what they sold but how they sold it – and how the impact of AI would change over the next five years.  The discussion then continued with a question over what challenges could prevent AI from reaching its full potential – focussing on the availability of skills and infrastructure.
