Plum provided support to BT with responses to a number of Ofcom consultations on the 800 MHz / 2.6 GHz spectrum award. Plum’s input covered a number of issues including analysis of competition scenarios, spectrum caps, use of standard power and low power blocks, proposed auction formats and proposed bidding rules. In addition Plum facilitated workshops for the BT team on these issues.

Plum provided support to BT during the UK 800 MHz / 2.6 GHz spectrum auction. Plum’s input included advice on spectrum valuation and reserve prices, views on competitor valuation of offered spectrum, BT’s business case for the auction and provision of expert support to the auction team while the auction was in progress.
