The efficient use of spectrum across Latin America

At the 2015 Latin Americas Spectrum Management Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Tim Miller took part in a panel discussion on how spectrum use could be used more efficiency across the Latin American region.  The discussion centred around how spectrum sharing can lead to more efficient outcomes, and also how existing spectrum allocations can be adjusted to promote efficiency.  Tim presented Plum’s recent work on L-band use for mobile, and discussed how this impacts on overall spectrum strategy.  He also discussed the viability of licenced shared access in Latin America, and how operators’ experiences were typical of the capacity crunch across the world.
