The study developed a comprehensive database on the radio frequency protection requirements for aeronautical radionavigation systems. It is provided in a format that would be readily accessible to those working in international fora such as the ITU-R and would require such data.

The study specifically looked into a subset of aeronautical radionavigation systems.  These included distance measuring equipment, radio altimeters, instrument landing system, VHF omnidirectional range and HF communications.  For each system, the operational role and corresponding reference documents were identified.
