Richard Rudd was the lead author for a paper on the development of the new ITU-R model for building entry loss. This paper describes the derivation and form of the new model and highlights work that remains to be done in this area. The ITU-R has recently published a new recommendation giving a method for the estimation of building entry loss at frequencies between 100 MHz and 100 GHz.
